Habitat Housewares Donation Policy Has Changed

Thank you for your patience with us as we determine a way to give back to our community that allows for our store to thrive.  Unfortunately there is an incredible amount of need in our community.  There are so many worthwhile organizations that need the support of our community.  We have given generously for a long time.  The need has become so great that we almost have to hire a staff member to process requests which is not feasible for our size store. 

To reconcile our need to give back and recognize the time constraints of processing requests; we’ve decided upon a new charity distribution method.  We’ve chosen 4 organizations for 2008 to receive generous charitable contributions.

Donation Guidelines:

If your organization would like to be considered as one of our “4” for 2009, we would ask you to submit the following:

1. Name of Organization:
2. What donation dollars will support:
   Ex:  If you are a private school the amount of $’s that are spent on scholarships.
3. Your mission statement:
4. Percentage of your charitable organization funding that is spent on overhead:
5. How Habitat Housewares is a good match with your organization:

2009’s charitable allocations will be chosen in November of 2008.  No last minute requests will be processed.
